Download torrents on iPhone and Android, with no app

Phones aren't built for torrent apps: iPhones can't install one, and on Android they drain the battery and use data while seeding. Torrent Looker does the torrent part in the cloud, so your phone only downloads the finished file or streams it in the browser.

Works in Safari and Chrome · free · no app

Open Torrent Looker

Download torrents on iPhone (Safari)

  1. Copy the magnet link. Press and hold the link on the page you found it on, then tap Copy Link.
  2. Open torrentlooker.club/app in Safari.
  3. Paste the link into the box at the top and tap Fetch. A .torrent file you saved to Files works too: tap the .torrent button and pick it.
  4. Wait for it to finish. You can lock your phone or switch apps; the fetching happens on our servers.
  5. Tap the download button next to the file. Safari saves it to Files › Downloads.
  6. Save a video to Photos (optional): open it in Files, tap the share button and choose Save Video.

Just want to watch? Tap the video instead of the download button and it plays right in Safari. See streaming torrents online.

Download torrents on Android (Chrome)

  1. Copy the magnet link by pressing and holding it, then Copy link address.
  2. Open torrentlooker.club/app in Chrome or any other browser.
  3. Paste the link and tap Fetch, or upload a .torrent file from your Downloads.
  4. Tap the download button when it's ready. The file goes to your Downloads folder, which you can open from the Files app.

Why this beats a torrent app on your phone

Add it to your home screen

For one-tap access, open Torrent Looker and add it to your home screen: on iPhone tap the share button and choose Add to Home Screen; on Android open Chrome's menu and choose Add to Home screen. It opens like an app.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there no torrent app for iPhone?

The App Store doesn't allow BitTorrent clients. A cloud torrent service gets around this because your iPhone only downloads a normal file over HTTPS.

Where do downloaded files go on iPhone?

Safari saves them to the Downloads folder in the Files app. From there you can open them, share them or save a video to Photos.

Where do downloaded files go on Android?

Chrome saves them to the Downloads folder. Open the Files or Downloads app to find them.

Will it use a lot of mobile data?

Only the size of the file you download or the part of the video you watch. Unlike a torrent app, your phone never uploads to other peers.

Can I start on my phone and download on my computer later?

Yes, with a free account. Sign in on both devices and your files show up on each one.

Open it on your phone and paste a magnet link.
